KASANA vanilla beans are imported in a short circuit from Uganda, where they are harvested and dried in partnership with the Amani Community Centre. This cooperative has a training centre, a school and a solar drying centre.
Ugandan vanilla is characterised by its dark brown to black colour and intense vanilla aromas. The pods are slightly oily and flat. It can be used in both savoury and sweet recipes.
